Congratulations to Research Assistant Nathan Boyle for being awarded a $3,000 stipend from the Maryland Summer Scholars! With the help and mentorship of Dr. Essoe and Dr. McGuire, he pitched his independent project titled “Arousal and Adaption: A Novel Metric to Evaluate Exposure-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy”. This project will examine changes in arousal in conjunction with exposure therapy outcomes, using skin conductance and heart rate data as primary metrics in calculations of arousal.
